After a half-year delay, the Maschina Records from Russia are finally shipping the long-awaited Lovers' Box to the fans from all over the world. According to the company's Instagram, the collectors' editions of Massive Luxury Overdose and Glory, Glamour and Gold are packed in two boxes to arrive safe and moreover the shipping is being made from Estonia, so no additional fees should be payed on delivery in the E.U.. Happy new years, Lovers!

Maschina Records from Russia have added a brand new and very suspicious item to their online vinyl catalog on www.maschinarecords.com. It's called Lovers Box Part 1, and further details have been revealed later at night, as promised.
The announced surprise is the re-release of the Army Of Lovers' two albums - Massive Luxury Overdose and Glory, Glamour and Gold on colored vinyl. You can buy the albums separately on two black LPs or on purple and green vinyl records. Or you can buy silver and gold records in the limited edition box together with a poster, a set of postcards, a branded slipmat, a sticker pack, and also something special. Gatefold sleeves come with accompanying full-size booklet 30×30 cm with archive photos and lyrics. These new editions have been remastered and repackaged using the original source audio and photo master sources. The release is planned in July. The Army Of Lovers In The Holy Land movie was accidentally available publicly on patiphon.co.il just for few hours on October 10 and then removed. It seems it was just a mistake. However, there was another screening of the movie in the Kuli Alma club in Tel Aviv on October 20. And on November 10th, the film will close the Nordic Cinema Showcase, also in Tel Aviv. Jean-Pierre and Dominika will be present! And moreover on October 28, the movie was broadcasted by Israeli cable channel Hot8.
Since Army Of Lovers In The Holy Land is without a doubt a very important milestone in the Army Of Lovers' career, I decided to prepare a special dedicated page about this beautiful movie in the brand new section Films, where I will put all the available info about this interesting project.
The Army Of Lovers' new film won the prize the best documentary at the Haifa International Film Festival this past weekend.
According to www.haaretz.com, Army of Lovers In The Holy Land, produced by Naama Pyritz and directed by Asaf Galay, was awarded 40.000 shekels ($11.000). It tells the story of a Swedish pop group that enjoyed great popularity in the 1990s and was famous for its mix of disco, camp, and queer music along with its messages of sexual liberation. The film follows the decision by one of the group's members, Jean-Pierre Barda, to leave Sweden and immigrate to Israel under the Law of Return.
About Army of Lovers In The Holy Land, the judges said that it was "refreshing and entertaining, and describes the move from the plastic world of stiletto heels and fake diamonds to the roughness of the Israeli reality and conservatism." The judges said the film "creates entertaining and absurd moments alongside an authentic emotional process of searching and belonging."
